Worst food at the beach - and filthy. I honestly have no idea how the place is still open, because they have straight given up. You can literally go anywhere else at the beach and have a better dining or drinking experience. Because of the great location and outside chance that I'd had bad experiences, I gave the place three shots. Fail. Fail. Fail. The first was a Saturday night dinner with a friend before going out. We were one of two tables in there, so you'd think we could get good service. Wrong. Our waitress was sweet, but terrible. They were out of the dishes we wanted, so we both settled on the steak with sweet potatoes and asparagus. The steaks were overcooked, slathered in steak sauce (their cook should be shot for that) and we didn't get sweet potatoes, but rater sweet potato fries. The asparagus was ok. Dinner and drinks took forever, which was unacceptable given the place was basically empty. Not the experience my girlfriend and I were going for AT ALL. Oh, and even though we had a Groupon for a free app (which was just Ok), our waitress forgot to apply it and ran our full bill and then said she didn't know how to adjust the bill to add it, so we ended up paying in full and getting the hell out of there. The second time was just a late-night pop-in, because I'd heard they were bringing in new DJs and were under new management, and wanted to check it out. I noticed a stench as soon as my friend and I walked in, despite that the whole place was open to the outside. Maybe from that out-of-commission wall fountain at the entrance? There was a small crowd, but all gathered on the patio away from the DJ and area where they made a dance floor. Apparently they added hookas, which people were sucking down on the patio, but still seemed like an odd add. We ordered drinks, which were weak and tasted funky, so we left. Fail again. The third time, My boyfriend and I just wanted to sit on a patio and have a drink after work, and I had a feeling we could get a seat there. The place still stunk, but we were patio bound, so I dismissed it. There was a good singer/guitar player on the patio, but that is the nicest thing I can say about the experience. Had to flag down the waiter every time we needed him even though there were only a few tables. Drinks tasted funky again and I could not stop staring at the filthy mis-matched patio furniture and apparent storage area for miscellaneous crap exposed to the customers. There was scum and grit covering just about everything, making me wonder how often they cleaned anything around there. Seeing that in the daylight was all I needed to ensure I'd never be back. If they can't keep the seating areas clean, you usually don't want to know what's going on in the kitchen. Final fail.

The music will draw you in. At different times of the day, there's a rotation of either a live band or dj. The music leads you to the restaurant but the lack of service might turn you away. Not exact sure the servers are organized properly. Once they notice you, several will aid in your order...meaning you won't have just one server. Instead you will be given a menu and asked if you are ready to order a drink or appetizer. That person will leave and 5 minutes later another person will come and ask you the same thing? Once you finally get around to placing you order there will be a long wait. Where you notice that loud music is annoying as f*ck! You'll be annoyed enough to wave down a waitress. She will say "I'll check on that for you." Then come back and tell you at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon that they are out of Philly Cheese Steaks? Not impressed with the food at all. Everything was pretty bland. And on top of that it was cold. Customers that didn't see staff decide to seat themselves. When waitress/hostess returns she's checking her phone. Location only getting stars for bar/drink service. Although servers are not the most attentive, they were friendly. But next time I'll continue to walk pass the music.

Great appetizers and killer patio scene by the beach. If they had better cosmos then I'd give it 5 stars. Dress up and love it!

Our server was great but the food wasn't. The oxtail and steamed veggies tasted like leftovers from 3 days ago. I'm a leftover lover but only when it's my leftovers from a great dining experience! The bean and rice tasted like instant rice from a box that my daughter cooked for the first time without my guidance. The hookah was a waste of $16.99. I guess I paid for the Oceanview, nice server and live music. That helped me finish my food, because I'm a soldier....I'm not wasteful unless my eyes, nose and stomach disagree with my decision to eat leftovers. I 'think' I also follow foodborne illness guidelines

Yesterday my husband and I went to have a few drinks and appetizers, disgusting first my husband found a hair on my drink, we let the waitress know, she said I will bring you another, "NO THANKS"!! All i kept thinking was there's probably hair all over the place! Tables were dirty the whole place stunk, as we were leaving we heard another couple complaining and the waitress apologizing again. Never going back! Don't let the outside live music playing fool you!! It's really not worth it.

One star for ocean view. Everything else, not so much. I went to this establishment on a Saturday to meet my boyfriend on a beautiful day in Jax beach. Upon walking in my first initial reaction was how dirty this place is. Several dirty glasses and napkins left on the bar, food all over the floor. I though surely this could not be where he told me to meet him. It was his first time there too, so I forgive him for inviting me to such a dirty place. After walking outside I heard some good music playing, steel drums galore. Exactly what I want to listen to on the beach on a sunny day. It took 20 minutes for the waitress the come by to ask us what I would like to drink. When I said water, she looked physically annoyed. I just needed more time to look over the drink menu, but her attitude was off putting. After taking 15 more minutes to come back with my water, she simply set it down and kept walking before I had a chance to say what I would like. We decided to leave money on the table and leave. Look I understand it is a busy Saturday, but a friendly hello would have been nice.

I went with a group of friends for a birthday outing on Taco Tuesday. Despite how great our waitress was, the food took forever to come out even though the restaurant wasn't busy. When our tacos finally came out, they were really good, but for the amount of time I waited, and the amount of money I paid, the tacos weren't worth it. You're better off going to Taco Lu if you're looking for good tacos. Ocean Grille's tacos, although flavorful, lacked substance and wasn't filling at all.

Will not be back. Bad experience. Food was not served as ordered. No butter with crab legs and they don't own a utensil to open the legs. The staff attitude was very dismissive and the manager would'nt even come to the table to see of there was anything that could be done to correct the situation.

Stopped in with the intent of having dinner. As I was by myself I sat at the bar. Ordered a captain and diet but no captain. Settled for another type of rum. For a beach front bar I was expecting a variety of seafood. Much to my dismay a very limited seafood menu. Sat for about 15 minutes waiting for my order to be taken. The bar had a bunch of locals locals hanging around who seemed to get a lot of attention from the bartender and waitresses. I eventually got tired of waiting for someone to take my order, paid for my drink and left. After this experience it is no wonder every place around was busy except this one.

I really don't care about the other reviews. I came here open minded, and the service was great, mahi tacos were awesome, and drinks were good

I wanted to go here and give a great review Seriously I had High hopes with all the "we have new owners" stuff they post on Facebook. NO SIR I am still mad I wasted my money, time and Birthday coming to this place. I won't ever go back unless some friends invite me and Im just being nice. I wish I ate before I came. I went on a Taco Tuesday. This means you should anticipate big orders and crowds right. It wasn't even crowded in here and We waited dam near an hour for tacos. We were so mad we just wanted the bill and to leave. The waitress didn't care because she was getting her gratuity any way. I ordered on shrimp on chicken. I don't even know where the chicken was. It was like they took on chicken breast and made everyone taco out that one Chicken breast. i could barely taste the chicken and the shrimp was ok but mine had 2 pieces on it. My Fiance ordered 4 tacos, 2 of my friends ordered 4 and we all were looking like. we waited 45-1-hour for WHAT?? cold tacos that were barely filled with anything. We all went some where else to eat after. I even told the server when she checked my ID to check the date.. she didnt get the Joke that it was my Birthday... smh. not worth the money or time ...just because it's cheap tacos its still should be quality Im waiting for the perfect spot for taco Tuesday. Guess I'll try Taste food studio again.

Service isn't good. Waited 15 minutes and flagged down two people before I was actually sent someone else. Good location, but that's about it. Food isn't anything to write home about. They do have hookah so I guess that's a plus.

Our server was AMAZING. He made the experience worthwhile. His name was Luke. We started off coming there for happy hour and ordered a huge margarita with a corona in it. When we went to drink it there was a bug in it. I called a server that was near by to come and look at the drink. She asked me if I wanted a spoon to take the bug out and it wasn't going to hurt me! I was appalled because that drink was $15!! I told her I would like to see my server. As soon as Luke came by he apologized for her response and also brought me a new drink. He was so personable and took pride in his job! For that reason I gave them a great rating

Food was decent, drink specials were good just not very strong drinks. Great atmosphere. Service -- terrible. Server never came back to check on us after she dropped food off, was missing things that we had to track her down for.

We came to eat here to sit and eat in the sun which was nice. It was Sunday at lunch and they could not handle the business. We sat down and it took 10 or so minutes to have a server come over and after ordering drinks it was a good thirty minutes before they showed up. The servers excuse was "the bartender is slow". A manager came over and let us know the kitchen was backed up... Overall they are lucky to have such a great location but need to do better about handling the business. Long wait for everything!

Avoid this place at ALL COSTS! Ordered 4 drinks, our appetizers and our entrees as soon as we sat down, and it took 30minutes to get our drinks. Place was empty. When I went to the bartender to inquire I got a dirty look. We got 1/2 our appetizers before our drinks. One of the drinks was the wrong drink, and three of them had been sitting for so long the ice had melted. Furthermore, we requested specific types of alcohol and could not tell that we were getting what we paid for: tasted like well to us. Tried to order Conch and Gator, since we were visiting Florida from New York and picked a seafood restaurant. They were out of both. Didnt have fresh oysters, but they had steamed and grilled oysters. I tried the steamed oysters: they smelled and were inedible. Ordered calamari instead: couldn't taste the calamari, could only taste the batter. Two of us ordered burgers: both were overlooked and missing ingredients. Two of us ordered mahi mahi which tasted frozen and they forgot the sides. They also forgot our salads (chef salads were actually great, when they came), forgot to give us water, forgot to give us silverware, and when we got silverware she came and clunked it down on the middle of the table and we had to set it ourselves. Such a waste of money time and my rare vacation!!!!! Just got to edit and add that we just spoke to a manager who didnt know that they were out of conch or gator and was like ugh I don't know why. Another manager came by to say she was sorry but.... There is no excuse for running a business like this. For the record they comped the drinks and oysters.

Better as a bar, althought the shrimp and strawberry walnut salad I ordered was surprisingly better than I hoped for in this establishment. They have hookahs and decent-ok drinks for a fair price. Their best selling point is the fact that they have a shady outdoor seating area with big red bull umbrellas and the building protecting you from the blistering heat. Also, close enough that you can feel the beach breeze, On Saturday afternoon they had a guy playing live music, he sang classics like hotel california and really created a nice ambiance.

TERRIBLE Customer Service! People leaving because they are not getting waited on. People waiting too long for their food. A man, complaining because they messed up his order. What a train wreck! Food is bland and takes forever. People, me included, waiting forever at the bar to get our drinks. 3 guys came in, sat at the bar for 5 minutes, no one spoke to them or even helped them. They left. I have never been to a place where everyone around me is pissed off over the service. Wow! GO TO PIER CANTINA NEXT DOOR!

This place is just awful. The night we were there there was 1 cook and 1 waiter. They were out of oysters and much of the food on the menu. We felt sorry for the waiter. After waiting a long time to get our drinks and watching what was going on around us we decided to quit while we were ahead, pay for the drinks and leave hungry. I can't wait for new ownership because the location is great!

Worst place on JAX beach I've come upon. Sat at the inside bar the first time. Nice bartender. Decent drinks and food. Next time sat outside. Not busy. Bartender told me I couldn't order a frozen drink unless I wanted to go inside. We proceeded to ask for a beer and a Cosmo. He grabbed the beer. The Cosmo took about 15 minutes to make. In the meantime, 3 guys came and sat at the bar. I wanted to tell them to run because we had already been sitting there and nobody came an refilled our drinks. The men left after 15 minutes because the bartender never came. We sat there waiting for somebody to at the very least refill our drinks or give us the check. The couple behind us went to a waitress and asked for their check because they had been waiting 40 minutes for their food. It was NOT busy. I as a bartender. I know. Finally about 35 minutes later, the bartender came around to us. We asked for our bill we only had 1 round of drinks. He apologized that they were under staffed. What? There is nobody here!!! He gave us the check. He forgot to give me my ATM card back. We were there almost an hour and he gave us 1 round of drinks and never came back. The only time he was nice was when he gave us the check. Apologizing I'm sure because at that point he wanted a tip. I don't think so. To Evan, the manager, who commented. You keep telling everyone on here who has left a review that you're sorry and that it's an isolated incident, but fail to notice everyone is saying the same thing? How does that make it isolated? I would say that makes it a problem.

The reason why this place sucks so bad is because it could be great, but the food just sucked. The atmosphere was very laid back once they turned off the loud techno music and switched to reggae. My wife and I sat outside with our daughter and people watched while we drank and patiently waited for our food to arrive. We were enjoying the opportunity to observe the odd crowd that frequents Jax Beach for about an hour before we got our appetizer. So here's how the appetizer went down... We were disappointed from the start because they were out of gator tail, which was what we were most looking forward to. They substituted the gator for calamari upon our request. The sampler consisted of fried calamari, queso dip with chips, dynamite shrimp, and mozzarella sticks. The queso dip came to the table ice cold, not room temperature or even slightly chilled. It was refrigerator cold. The last time I checked queso is supposed to be served quite warm and creamy. The chips were good. The Dynamite Shrimp had nothing dynamite about them. It was three medium shrimps, battered and deep fried. Nothing dynamite about that. The calamari was disgustingly thick and way too chewy. The batter completely fell off the meat and it was just nasty and greasy. The three mozzarella sticks we were presented with tasted like they had bought a pack of Polly-O string cheese, bread it, then deep fried it just to the point where the cheese wouldn't melt inside the breading and would taste like something you would expect from Denny's. We decided not to stay for dinner and call it quits after the appetizer. The bottom line is that the food took forever, the ingredients were not fresh, the techno music was way to loud and the food was presented as if it were prepared by a bunch of monkeys.

I have been meaning to write a short review for the Ocean Grille, since we go there often and have noticed a HUGE improvement in the last few months over last year's experiences, in food quality, service and upkeep. But was putting it off. I'm on the site to write a review of Tomo's from last week, and was just checking other recent reviews and I saw Deprina's one star review of last night. So I have to counter. We were also there last night with friends for Taco Tuesday. Wow, same place that Deprina went??? We sat out on the boardwalk, it was a gorgeous night after the art walk. We got seated, waitress visited right away, had our drinks right away (contrast my Tomo review). We talked for a while and didn't look at the menus, but our server checked regularly to see how things were going. Finally, we did order, I ordered the fried shrimp basket and the other three ordered tacos. We also had the Queso and chips. The Queso was just so-so, but the other three enjoyed their tacos (didn't rave about them, but enjoyed them). My shrimp basket was among the best I've had, served very hot, shrimp were obviously local Mayport and very large, and cooked perfectly in a nice, crisp breading. We didn't time the arrival of the entrees, but it seemed fairly prompt and no one was wondering where the food was. All in all, a very good experience, made even better by the gorgeous weather. Nothing beats dining with an ocean view and gentle breezes! Something must have happened with Deprina's order, because everything seemed to be going smoothly in the restaurant notwithstanding the large art walk crowd. Believe me, you can tell from the reactions of the other tables if there's long waits for service--we didn't see that (again, contrast my Tomo review). Update--8/5/14. Been to Ocean Grille twice since this review. Both times, mid-afternoon, sunny beach day on the patio. Great service one time, good service the next. Food was excellent both times--though I keep ordering the shrimp basket because its so good! Yeah, boring. On the first visit I did get to experience first hand was Deprina was talking about, however. I got seated shortly after a couple next to me. We had same waitress, got our drinks the same time and ordered the same time. My shrimp basket came out super fast--seemed only about 5 minutes. Couple next to me sat, and sat, and sat. Finally, when I was almost finished their order came out (tacos and an oyster plate). Couple of bites--guess what--their food was ice cold. Told the waitress and she apologized profusely, took their food back to get it replaced. This time, their order came out super fast like mine had, five minutes it seemed. I was sipping beers and crowd watching, so I stayed awhile. I asked the couple, "was it worth the wait"?. They said, yes, second time around it was very good. They need some help expediting in the kitchen or something, because two small orders at the same time from the same waitress should not have such dramatically different results.

Edit 1: My husband and I went to Ocean Grille on March 16th, and we had a most unfortunate experience. But, this is a new restaurant, so we will be giving them a second shot. This place has huge potential in terms of location and dining experience. I really want to like this place, I do, and I hope that they have found their groove.

Dang. I was really hoping for a great seafood restaurant in Jax Beach and this is definitely not it. Sorry, but if you have steamed and fried oysters, why not raw? Because you're selling pre-shucked oysters and charging for fresh that's why. After waiting at least ten minutes after we were sat (I started to time it when it started to feel like we'd been forgotten) our server showed up and clearly had never been properly trained on how to wait tables. She looked confused when we asked about what seafood they had that was fresh, told us there was no happy hour on weekends (it was a Thursday) and then left to get our drinks and literally never came back. Seriously, we never saw her anywhere again. We joked that maybe she'd been a ghost and we imagined the whole exchange. As we were getting up to leave, a new server arrived and offered to help us so we thought sure, maybe it was shift change and the first girl just dipped out because she didn't know any better. Unfortunately, that was continued with our new server. She didn't know any more about the menu than the first girl and was even more confused about our drinks: an IPA and a Yuengling. She thought the Yuengling was a type of sake and went on about the previous owners and their menu. Ironically, she knew more about that then the one we were looking at. Still, we're nice people so we waited again for our drinks and now an oyster app. After 15 minutes of neither, and now 30 minutes into our dining experience, it was too much. Cute girls are nice to look at, I guess, if you're a guy who wants that in a server, but I'm looking for service no matter the form it comes in. Never got to try the food, but from what I hear I didn't miss much. Like I said, dang. Such a perfect spot for a REAL seafood joint.

Love this spot! We went for brunch and it was AWESOME. We sat outside and the weather was perfect. Service was good, definitely some new folks around, but overall the food made up for it, and you can't beat great breakfast food on a sunday morning at the beach. Great decor, this place really thought it threw. We will be back. for sure. Haven't been for nighttime activities, but I hear it is hoppin' on the weekends as well, as the manager invited us back .

Our service was so slow, and our waiter rarely came by our table. We ordered a glass of wine and after about 15-20 minutes passed and we never received it, we flagged someone down to just pay our bill and leave. The lady brought out bill and after looking at it closely, we realized they had automatically included 18% gratuity even though there were only 3 of us. We told the woman we did not want 18% included because our service was terrible and she stated that it was their policy to include 18% gratuity on Monday's. Nowhere was that posted on their menu, though it was posted on the menu that 18% was charged for parties of 5 or more and after a certain time at night. The woman gave us a hard time, and eventually rolled her eyes and said "I'm not dealing with this." She went on to tell us she was the manager, which I find appalling! The staff, especially the manager, need some lessons on customer service. I will absolutely NEVER go back there, and I will never recommend it to others. AWFUL!

The live music and beachy Sunday Funday vibe seemed promising, so we decided to head in for brunch. I would suggest table service and food only if you have lots of time and keep your expectations in check. Our server, whom we were struggling to hear over the live music, kept checking up on us, probably to reassure us that our food orders were not forgotten. First we tried the buffalo shrimp dip, which was lukewarm but pretty decent despite that. Then, after what seemed like hours, the main dishes arrived. My chicken BLT wrap was good, but you really have to try to screw up a wrap. Plus, the dish was missing the side of ranch dressing. No big, but I chose not to ask for it because A- I didn't have the extra 40 minutes to wait for it and B-I don't need those calories anyway. Thanks for looking out for me, OG!

  • Tracy G.

I liked the atmosphere but the service was terrible. I ordered a chicken Blt wrap with no onions and was given a buffalo chicken wrap with onions. I waited a very long time to get my order and almost just as long to get the check. I would not recommend this place unless you just want to have a couple drinks by the water.

When we first arrived we, like others were enticed by the Calypso music. We were then greeted by a "manager" (?) Who assumed our party of two was actually two parties of one. Once we corrected him we were sat at a dirty table near the speakers from the music.I know other people at the far end may not be able to hear if the music were lower so I am not upset by that. However, after about 10 minutes we were finally introduced to our waitress. She took our order and said she will return with our drinks. 15 minutes later she returned with another waitress saying she was going to be taking care of us. Still no drinks. Another 15 minutes go by and the second waitress returns to reconfirm our drink order but confirmed our order was in. Five minutes pass and we finally get our drinks. Meanwhile tables sat after us are on their second drinks and have received their appetizers. 55 minutes after being sat we get our "dynamite" shrimp. While the buffalo sauce was very good they were nothing to write home about. After one hour 20 minutes we finally got cold fries a cold buffalo chicken wrap and old fish tacos. We immediately asked for our check and waited 10 minutes at least for our card to be returned... overall, AVOID THIS PLACE.

Came up to jax for TPC and are staying at a nearby hotel. Decided to check this place out because it has ocean front views and walkable from the hotel. Wanted a couple drinks and an app. Ordered drinks and app at same time, got the app first- calamari. Cost was $12 for the smallest portion I've ever seen. 10 rings for $12. Picture to prove it. Asked the waiter and he said it's a 6oz portion. Wish this was listed on the menu. Very deceptive for the price.

We came here hopping to play some trivia on Friday night. We were disappointed to discover that there was no trivia, but not shocked since we were the only two in restaurant! The bartender was very friendly. We ordered drinks and checked out the menu. My boyfriend inquired about the Catch of the Day. They didn't have one. So we opted for conch fritters, the spinach strawberry salad, and charbroiled oysters. The fritters were pretty good. They came with a dipping sauce with a bit of a kick. We both enjoyed it. The strawberry spinach salad was also a hit with us. The oysters. Oh, the oysters. They looked good. They smelled...awful. I had one in my mouth as the smell hit both of us. We sent them back and didn't want them replaced. The bartender was great about it. Overall, the staff was friendly, the food was okay, and the atmosphere was nonexistent. I suppose the empty restaurant at 7:30 on a Friday should have been a hint.

Our server Cory was awesome and on top of everything. He looked like the only server there but managed to take care of 8 of us and his other tables without any issues, and holding a smile. Food came out quick and hot . We ordered alligator bites and conch fritters for an appetizer. The alligator bite were great, but I definitely was not a fan of the conch fritters. The surf and turf burger was so good I didn't get a picture because it was gone before I got a chance lol. The shrimp tacos were delicious as was the rest of the food . We also really enjoyed the outside seating and music.

Would have stayed to try the food but the place was a ghost town. Only people in this establishment seemed to be the bartenders' friends. No music. No vibe. The inside was like a morgue. Paid for my drink and my friends and we sat on the patio to get away from the bleak interior. So sad for such a location. Only come if you're looking for a nap and to remember what a public library felt like twenty years ago. This place great underperforming!

Not impressed at all. Very dissapointed actually. The place was totally empty except a bartender who didn't greet us and a few of his friends. There was no music and it was pretty awkward so we ordered our drinks and went out to the patio to drink them and then bounced. The weird smell made us not even want to look at a menu. So sad for a place with such a great location.

Wanted to try this place since we had heard a few things about them. Came here for lunch and we were seated within a few moments. It was lunch.time. We ordered our drinks but the wait was entirely too long. Ordered the fish tacos which would have been fine but it was luke warm when waitress brought it out. I ordered 3 and was only brought 2. Well I don't like having to wait for the remainder of my order. When the taco finally came out it didn't look nothing like the original order so asked where was the rest of the fish and the Chipotle sauce and she said nothing or did nothing to make it right. So I sent it back. I can see why some of the reviews are what they are. I. Willing to give them another opportunity but there is always room for improvement. So they get now only two stars

Stopped in for a drink and an app since it was close to hotel. Sat outside, which was good since the smell inside was horrid. Took 15 minutes for someone to take drink order even though I was one of 4 tables sat in entire place. No raw oysters. Menu items not served as described. Beer was cold and view was great. That's about it.

NO NO NO....I thought this place was going to be cool but it wasn't. Let me first give credit for location. If you want to chill near the beach without going on the sand...this place is perfect. However, If you want to have good food...this may not be the place for you. However, again if you want to chill they have hookah and good drinks. When my plate arrived (appetizer sampler) it had grease from my wings...in a puddle in the middle of the plate. As though they didn't allow it to drain. Everything was super duper greasy...I understand that I am ordering fried food but I didn't want a side of grease as well. With that I was not pleased. My friend ordered wings that the server said the wings were baked then fried...well they were just baked....that's not cool. So she sent them back. Bathroom: Keep in mind you are at the beach; however, I washed my hands with soap labeled (dial) and it was pure fabuloso....pure fabuloso which slightly chemically burned my hands....not good folks... Again, just to relax...check it out...but for food....pass.

The place is terrible the only bright spot is the music... Service is ok but what kills me is the owner/manager Maniola can't even talk to her customers when there is a problem the server should not have to keep going back and forth. Ownership probably could care-less because people spending money in here because they don't know any better.

They get 3 stars because the food was Good! Our service was HORRIBLE, it wasn't that crowded to be soooo slow. I try to be understanding of the 4 tables the waitress had but Nope she wasn't good at all. I asked for Hot tea, it was room temperature water. She kept forgetting Everything we ssked her to get. Not to Mention, we didn't get our food for a matter of 3 hour's!!! Luckily on our end we were celebrating so we were calm about the service. Any other time i would've LEFT!!

Absolutely fell in love with this place! We came to Jacksonville for our annual summer vacation and decided to stop here after a long day at the beach. What really attracted me here was the hookahs... but as our luck would have it, we came just when the hookah person had left for the day. I was so disappointed, until my food came! Wow! And the view from the patio! Omg yes! I ordered shrimp tacos. My bestie ordered oxtails and her hubby ordered a fried shrimp basket. My other friend ordered oysters and the curry mac-n-cheese (which I talked him into so I could try it lol.) All the of the food was freakin' delicious! A little bit too spicy for my taste, but I still ate it anyway. Hey, it's a Caribbean style establishment, I can't complain. The service was ok. Seems like it was a slow day, so the staff seemed slow too. I didn't mind at all though. I was in the company of great friends, there was reggae playing on the sound system and the view was as breathtaking as the food. I highly recommend! And even more... I recommend you sit outside on the patio and look over at the ocean while you dine.

I've Been here a couple times before BUT today the service was HORRIBLE!!!! There seems to be tons of waiters and waitress but they have no direction... We sat for about 20 mins before even being addressed..30 minutes into our experience we still have NO silverware... And can't seem to snag anyone's attention. It's a great location... Directly on Jacksonville beach, my food has not arrived today, but normally the food is great... They have a full bar with liquor specials, hookah, even half the restaurant is outside for those who prefer outdoor dinning...Continued experiences like today will definitely damage their business. Im not sure if management changed, maybe management is on vacation...who knows.. One thing is for sure... They will lose my dollar with one more experience like today...

This place is awesome. Food was great service is amazing include this view and it's the best place to hang out at the beach. The server was telling me about all the new specials that they will be doing and they sound awesome. Can't wait to go back
